SIKESTON -- Francis Eugene "Gene" Crenshaw, 83, died Feb. 4, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born May 21, 1922, in Hannibal, son of the late Oscar Benjamin and Effie Williams Crenshaw, he served as a medic in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and the Korean War and was a self-employed real estate broker...

SIKESTON -- Francis Eugene "Gene" Crenshaw, 83, died Feb. 4, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born May 21, 1922, in Hannibal, son of the late Oscar Benjamin and Effie Williams Crenshaw, he served as a medic in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and the Korean War and was a self-employed real estate broker.

Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Alan and Sandy Crenshaw of Jackson and Mark Crenshaw of Miami; one daughter, Linda Bollinger of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Catherine Kraus and husband, Robert, of Sandy Hook, Conn., Michael Crenshaw and wife, Betty, of Jackson and Russ Bollinger of Cape Girardeau; and four great-grandchildren, Calvin Crenshaw and Andrew Crenshaw of Jackson and William Kraus and Ryan Kraus of Sandy Hook.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at noon Tuesday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Charles Lance, pastoral care pastor of Cape First Assembly of God Church, will officiate.

Burial with full military honors will follow in the Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
