Speakout 2/16

Thursday, February 16, 2006

This is in regards to Oil Well Killings and Seven Trillion Dollar Debt. If you Democrats want to know why you are losing, and will continue to lose, the political debates all you have to do is review the idiotic statements that were made under these two headings in the SpeakOut column. The figures mean absolutely nothing. It is disjointed and incoherent. It is all Bush's fault. There is no truth to any of this. You can take figures and make them say anything you want them to say. This is all lies, Bush bashing. You have no concept what the real world is like. You just do what the Democrat bloggers and the Democrat talking points tell you to say. You can't think for yourself. They don't have a plan. You don't have a plan. All you've got is hate filled rhetoric. You're not going to win elections that way. Keep it up. We're glad to see it.

When the equity drive starts for the new ethanol plant in Sikeston, everybody is invited to come and put some money in the ethanol plant. There will be some people who put in millions. But if you can put in $20,000 for a share, you're welcome to be part of the team.

This is to the person who called in about the telemarketing calls. I run a small business and I work by myself. Right now, telemarketing calls are costing me about $90 a day in lost labor. They call, you tell them to please take my number off your list and do not call me back and it lands on deaf ears. And then we have the one, "Oh, I have wonderful news for you." Here you are, you're in the middle of your job and you have to quit. I have told these people twelve times now, please do not call me. What needs to be done, and this is a computer that is calling. They do not even take the effort to call on their own anymore, it's a computer. They just cost you more and more time and more money. What needs to be done is let them call, but make them pay for it. And I bet you when the money comes out of their pocket, they'll quit it. Thank you for letting me air my emotions. They are driving me nuts.

I would like to speak out about East Prairie. I would like to know when downtown East Prairie became a residential zone? It's becoming like a housing project.

Mike, your Thursday Feb. 9 article would be right, with one exception. You left out one word and it's the most important word. The top one percent of all taxpayers do not pay 34.3 percent of all taxes. They pay 34.3 percent of all income taxes. And income taxes contribute only 26 percent of the national budget. I know you love propaganda, but try to stick to the facts.

I would like to give thanks and credit to where it is due. Thanks Sikeston Police Department for a well done job on the murder Feb. 9. I like to commend you on the hard work you put into it. It really made me have a change of heart for the police department. I have a newfound respect for you guys. God bless you and keep up the good work. I thank you for a job well done.
