SIKESTON - Anna Lorene Eaton, 77, formerly of Morehouse, died at 1:54 p.m. Feb. 14, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born May 5, 1928, in Dexter, to the late William Edward and Bertha Mae Coats Wader, she had worked for Missouri Delta Medical Center and the Sikeston Convalescent Center in the housekeeping department. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Morehouse, where she sang in the choir, a member of the Wings Ladies Group and had served as a foster grandmother at Morehouse Elementary School.

Only July 3, 1942, in Benton, she married Johnie H. Eaton, who preceded her in death on March 20, 2004.

Three sisters also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: four sons, William "Sonny" Eaton of Sikeston, Johnnie Wayne Eaton and Jimmy L. Eaton of Morehouse and Michael G. Eaton of Portageville; four daughters, Shirley M. Adams of Morehouse, Sue Goodman of McHenry, Ill., Barbara A. Elliott and Sherri Smith of Sikeston; two sisters, Gladys Wilbourn and Mamie Campbell of Dexter; and nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services will held at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Randy Thomas, pastor of the First General Baptist Church of Morehouse, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Essex Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Loyd Adams, William Smith, Danny Carmack Jr., Lee Head, Joseph Head and James Goodman.
