SIKESTON - James "Jimmy" Robinson, 55, died Jan. 8, 2006, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Lilbourn.

Born March 2, 1950, in Sikeston, to the late William and Justina Robinson Johnson, he was a former pastor of St. Matthew Baptist Church in Charleston and was pastor and founder of Straight Street Church in Sikeston.

On July 3, 1976, he married Betty Williams, who survives of Sikeston.

Other survivors include: four daughters, Tamika Robinson, Davita Robinson and Patricia Evette Robinson, all of Sikeston and Lekell Coleman of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sons, Diangelo Ellis of Sikeston and Markeith Williams of Las Vegas; one brother, Julius Robinson of Detroit, Mich.; one sister, Jeanetta McCaster of Sikeston; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon Saturday until time of services at 1 p.m. at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ. The Rev. J.L. Posey will officiate.

Place of burial will be announced at a later date.

Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
