EAST PRAIRIE - Rentha Dell Cohen, 82, died at 1:10 p.m. Nov. 27, 2005, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
Born March 18, 1923, in Scranton, Ark. to the late Eli Walker and Rosey Snow Hunt, she lived most of her life in Mississippi County.
On Sept. 15, 1946, at the Church of the Nazarene in Matthews, she married Francis Cohen, who survives of the home in Bertrand.
Other survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Frank and Renae Cohen of Matthews and Larry Cohen of Bertrand; one daughter and son-in-
law, Carolyn and James Smith of East Prairie; one brother, Leman Hunt of Maricopa, Calif.; three sisters, Layla Bye, Violet Tatum and Shirley Poore, all of East Prairie; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-
grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Opal Freeman, Lois Chapman, Tropal Hunt and Jewel Hunt; two brothers, Miles and Tink Hunt; and a great-grandson.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday with Martin Lucas officiating.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: James Edward Smith Jr., Chris Barnes, Ron Yarbro, David Abner, Glen Holifield and Hoyt Carter.
Honorary pallbearers will be Leo Little and Phillip Clubbs.
