ST. LOUIS -- Sophomore heavyweight Robert Madison was the lone medalist for the Sikeston wrestling team at the Affton Tournament on Saturday.
Sikeston, with 42 points, finished ninth in the 13-team tournament. The Bulldogs won 14 of 36 matches.
"Compared to last year, that's phenomenal," said Sikeston coach Ivan Robison. "We've already won more matches this year than we won all of last year."
Host Affton won the tournament with 121 points and Parkway Central finished second with 94.
Madison (2-2) won the third-place match with a pin fall at 4:21 over Thomas Hellam of Sumner.
