Speakout 5/23

Tuesday, May 23, 2006

I read SpeakOut every once in a while and it seems like every time I do, it always has something about welfare in it. If you have a problem with people on welfare, why aren't you calling your Congressman or your State Representative instead of wasting your time calling SpeakOut. I don't think we should be casting stones at our fellow citizens here in Sikeston and we are just black listing them because of their race. I should not have to deal with this in my newspaper, calling you and telling you to drive down Marian Street just because their happens to be some Mexicans living on it. I don't know what kind of stuff you perpetuate in your newspaper, but I will no longer be reading. We should be boycotting it instead of Marian Street.

I saw where workers are needed in the hurricane-ravaged area of Mississippi and Louisiana to help rebuild and clean up the area. I wonder how many people in those areas are being paid welfare to sit around and do nothing?

People think they have a problem with speeders in Mini Farms, they should be in Heckemeyer. The speed limit is 20, but people that come through here must still think they are on the interstate out here. If Scott County would sit out here with a radar gun for two or three days, they would have their fuel budget paid for an entire month. Slow down, people.

If our ancestors would come back from the grave and see what a destruction this nation was coming to, I don't think they would be very happy. They shed a lot of blood to start a lot of these plants and here they are sending them overseas to Taiwan, Japan, China and all these other places. We are wondering why the President and Mr. Blunt are letting them all go overseas? They are sitting in Washington D.C., and Jefferson City with these high paying jobs while people paying their salaries are losing theirs. We don't think that is proper at all. There is no need for them to go to church on Sunday the way they do people through the week. We feel like the people in the USA ought to have jobs over here and also have insurance and health care. Our ancestors worked for it, we're working for it, and our next generation will work for it also. Good night and God bless America.

We are watching TV and we see where that governor over in Illinois is really working to save that plant over there in Illinois. That sure is more than what the governor in Missouri is doing to save jobs over here. Why don't we switch governors and let the governor from Illinois move over here? I think we would have a lot better living over here in Missouri.

I want to say thank you to the woman who found the check and the $20 bill that I had dropped this week and took it to the service counter at Wal-Mart. I am glad that there are still good and honest people in the world. I pray the Lord will repay you many times over for your honesty. Thank you again.

I'm calling because a lot of us in the Morehouse and Sikeston area had a friend named Johnny that passed away lately and I think his family needs to take the responsibility of printing his obituary in the paper. That's about all the poor guy has left in this world is his friends and his family. I think they need to know.

Bush can't do anything to please the Democrats. They all hate him because he beat their boy from Tennessee, Al Gore, who couldn't even carry his own district in his own state. That's the whole thing in a nut shell.

Just say No to illegal immigrants. No, no no.
