Mamie Hendrix

ORAN - Mamie Claire Hendrix, 81, formerly of East Prairie, died at 1:29 p.m. June 13, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Dec. 13, 1924, at Hornsby, Tenn., to the late James Walter and Callie Wilson Moore, she was a member of the Morley Baptist Church.

On Oct. 9, 1940, she married James Willis Hendrix, who preceded her in death on July 15, 2000.

Five brothers, two sisters and one great-grandchild also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Don and Deborah Hendrix of Dexter and James Walter Hendrix of the home; three daughters and one son-

in-law, Ann Grimes of Benton, Carolyn Warren of Sikeston and Sue and Rick Williams of Oran; one brother, Albert Moore of East Prairie; one sister, Ressie Hendrix of East Prairie; 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday. Rodney N. Davis will officiate.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
