The Heartland National All-Star 14-and-under girls softball team won the Babe Ruth Fast Pitch State Tournament held at Chaffee on July 14-15-16. The championship qualifies the team for the regional tournament scheduled for July 27-30 in Monett. Heartland National went 4-1 in the tournament, advancing out of the loser's bracket to claim the title. They opened the tounament with a 22-0 drubbing of Sikeston, then lost in 10 innings to Monett on Saturday...

The championship qualifies the team for the regional tournament scheduled for July 27-30 in Monett.

Heartland National went 4-1 in the tournament, advancing out of the loser's bracket to claim the title. They opened the tounament with a 22-0 drubbing of Sikeston, then lost in 10 innings to Monett on Saturday.

Heartland bounced back with three wins on Sunday wrapping up the state title with a 12-3 victory over Monett.
