Forms for Hall of Fame/Honor Wall available Friday

SIKESTON -- Nomination forms to induct individuals into the Sikeston R-6 Hall of Fame/Honor Wall will be available beginning Friday.

The Hall of Fame/Honor Wall event will be held Sept. 15 during the half-time between the Sikeston Bulldogs and Dexter Bearcats annual football game. Honorees and their families will be notified by Central Office prior to the event. A tailgate party will be held at the Sikeston Public Schools Pavilion for the honorees and their families along with previous honorees. Then plaques and certificates will be awarded to the new members.

Since 1995, the Sikeston R-6 Honor Wall has recognized individuals for their service to the Sikeston Public Schools. The Hall of Fame recognizes athletes who have received state honors or beyond. For the Hall of Fame, Sikeston schools honors past graduates who have been out of school for five years which means 2000 graduates and before would be eligible this year.

Anyone who would like to make contributions to cover expenses of the Hall of Fame/Honor Wall can send donations to Sikeston R-6 Central Office, 1002 Virginia, Sikeston, MO 63801.

Nomination deadline is July 28 and the nominations must be postmarked by that date. Forms will be available on the school's Web site: www.sikeston.k12.mo.us, at Central Office, and A Building at high school.
