SIKESTON -- Wilma D. Austin, 86, died April 24, 2007, at Pacific Care in Pacific.
Born July 12, 1920, in Knoble, Ark., daughter of the late William E. and Nellie Wiseman Brown, she was a member of Calvary Temple and had been a cook of Sheehy's IGA in Sikeston and Running Horse Cafe in Morehouse before retiring.
On April 20, 1940, in Corning, Ark., she married Freeman Austin who preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1988.
Also preceding her in death were one son, Donald R. Austin; one brother, Bert Stephens; and four sisters, Wynona Nunn, Wanda Breckenridge, Ola McElrath and Grace Abernathy.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, David and Cindy Austin of St. Charles; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Vernon Faulkner of Pacific and Patti and Dennis Agee of Benton; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Austin of Staunton, Ill.; one sister, Jean Austin of Brier, Wash.; and 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston with the Rev. Larry Davis, pastor of Trinity Gospel Church, officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Vernon Faulkner, Dennis Agee, Richard Fennewald, Jim Walker, Eric Kesler and Don Austin.
