SIKESTON - Current taxes collected in Sikeston on real estate, personal property and from merchants and manufacturers have reached the 93.7 percent mark, which is comparable to the amount collected last year at its time, according to City Collector Ronald Lee.
SIKESTON - Many Sikeston residents began calling the Board of Municipal Utilities office this morning to question why their most recent utility bills were higher than expected. According to a Board spokesman, an increase in each utility bill would be noticed, as this was the first month since last winter that residents used large amounts of heating in their homes.
