SIKESTON - Charles John Hampton, 59, passed from this life Feb. 3, 2008, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born March 13, 1948, in Campbell, to the late Wesley Eugene Hampton and Susie Pearlene Couch Hampton, he loved the outdoors, fishing, deer hunting and raising pigeons.
On Nov. 22, 1968, he married Linda Jean Lucas, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters and two sons-in-law, Louise Hampton and Kimberli and Tim Wiley of Sikeston and Jamie and Jim McWhirter of the state of Kentucky; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Barbara Grubbs of Campbell, Ronald and Lois Hampton of Benton, and Rickie and Janet Hampton and Mike and Tammy Hampton of Sikeston; three sisters and two brothers-in-
law, Sharon and Harvey Bailey of Blodgett and Vickie Hampton and Joyce and Doug Neuhalfen of Sikeston; and eight grandchildren, April, Carol Ann, Charli, Malinda, James, Jaylynn, Bethany and Aileena.
Charles will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services at noon Tuesday at the Victory Life Center in Oran.
Burial will follow in the Blodgett City Cemetery.
Teague and Sons Funeral Home of Newburg is in charge of arrangements.
