Betty Jones

DEXTER -- Betty Lou Jones, 79, died Aug. 3, 2006, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter.

Born Dec. 8, 1926, in Stoddard County, daughter of the late Walter M. and Ethel Bell Jerls Creg, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter and a former seamstress for Elder Manufacturing Company.

On April 19, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., she married Graham W. Jones, who preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1981.

Two brothers, Leonard Creg and Dawsey Denzil Creg, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two brothers, Harold "Bud" Creg and Wayne Creg of Dexter; and one sister, Ruby Crow, of Dexter.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City with the Rev. David Dohogne officiating.
