CHAFFEE - Daniel Lee Gossett, 77, formerly of St. Louis, died at 10:10 p.m. April 3, 2006, at his home.
Born Aug. 4, 1928, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Carl Jackson and Thelma Laura Brown Gossett, he served in the U.S. Navy and was a chemical operator for 25 years for Mallinckrodt Chemical Co. in St. Louis.
On June 18, 1979, in Matthews, he married Evelyn Long Reeves who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Mary Reeves of Chaffee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Billy Ritter of Benton and Leann and Kurt Knuckles of Chaffee; and three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four nieces and one nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Sensmeyer.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Cliff Day, pastor of First Baptist Church of Chaffee, will officiate.
Burial with full military honors provided by the Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
