Speakout 3/14

Wednesday, March 14, 2007

This is in response to A time to celebrate in the March 5th SpeakOut. No. 1, against Notre Dame, Michael Porter had 27 points and 8 rebounds. So that tells me right there you don't know what you're talking about. No. 2, it wasn't the fact that Notre Dame ran all over Sikeston's floor. They ripped their shirts off in the middle of the court and stood at the end of the court chanting, "This is our house." We have no problem with people running on the court celebrating. They just won district. What would you do? The fact of the matter was they disrespected the Field House by chanting, "This is our house" after the game. They also said Sikeston lost by double digit games. Sikeston ended up the season 17-9, so that just proves my point, you don't know what you're talking about.

A very big thank you to the brave and compassionate people who answer the 911 calls. Also thanks to our Sikeston police and emergency people who respond.

First of all, when these young men and women enlisted in the US military, they knew full well and understood that they would be called to fight. Second, United we stand, divided we fall, and thanks in part to the media and those of you who cannot think for yourselves, we are divided. Don't let the media control you. Third, why have the greatest military in the world stood by and let these people attack. We are the World's Police. That's why we call this great land America. Most importantly, instead of using the entire country's energy and resources on fighting the President of the United States of America, why don't you do what you are supposed to do and get behind him, and help him resolve this issue? If nothing else, he is keeping the war overseas. If we were not fighting this war, the media would be calling him a coward. The media had said that he could not win, and we voted him in anyway. I voted for Bush and I stand behind him, and I don't always agree with what he says or does, but if I did, then I would run for government office myself. It is not your job to criticize our President. It is our job to keep an eye on current events and vote when the time comes. Other than that, we should stay out of it. Unless you have inside info other than the American media. Oh and one more thing on a different subject, since George W. Bush was elected, the unemployment rate is at all time lows in this country.

To that ill-informed idiot that said we are filling the graveyards from Iraq, you ought to have been in Vietnam where we lost more men in one battle than they've lost in Iraq. About Bush going over there, Johnson didn't go over there. He just threw his hands up and said he didn't want nothing else to do with it. Nixon had to end it. Wake up, boy!
