SIKESTON -- Jerry Dwight Long, 19, died Jan. 28, 2008, at his home.
Born Nov. 2, 1988, in Joliet, Ill., to Jackie Eugene and Shannon Elizabeth Long, he was employed as a welder with Thompson Culvert. He was a 2007 graduate of Kelly High School, where he had been a member of the F.F.A.
In addition to his parents, survivors include: four brothers, Jackie Michael Long of Sikeston, Robert Lee Long of Biloxi, Miss. and Kyle Stephen Long and Joshua Lance Long of the home; one sister, Robin Michelle Long of Turpin, Okla.; his paternal grandmother, Betty Sue Long of Sikeston; and two nephews, five nieces, four uncles and three aunts.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Heartland Harvest Church. The Rev. Harry Mills will officiate.
Pallbearers will be: James Reynolds, Josh Reynolds, Michael Stills, Lee Ziegler and Braxton Britton.
Blanchard Funeral Chapel of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
