MORLEY -- Clyde H. Curtis Sr., 72, died Feb. 1, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Feb. 6, 1934, at Cuba Landing, Tenn., son of the late Melvin B. and Flora Ella Williams Curtis, he was retired from Stovall Construction in Cape Girardeau where he was a heavy machine operator engineer. He was a member of Hope Baptist Church in Oran and Operating Engineer Local 513 in Cape Girardeau.
On Feb. 12, 1951, he married Rosa Brown who preceded him in death on Aug. 31, 2001.
On Dec. 8, 2006, he married Lucille Stidham who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Clyde Curtis Jr. of Oran and Melvin Curtis of Morley; three daughters, Karla Seyer of Austin, Texas, Barbara Heisserer of Indianapolis and Susan Martin of Linn Creek; three brothers, Noel Curtis of St. Louis, Eugene Curtis of Scurry, Texas, and Joe Curtis of Millington, Tenn.; three sisters, Lavern Alderson of Lakeland, Tenn., Betty Sue Phillips of Farmington and Judy May of Bartlett, Tenn.; and 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his first wife, he was also preceded him in death by one grandson, Curtis Heisserer; and one son-in-law, Bill Daugherty Jr.
Visitation is at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hooe Baptist Church with the Rev. Aaron Cornman officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Garden in Morley.
