ESSEX - Helen W. Blunt, 89, died Feb. 10, 2007, in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter.
Born May 24, 1917, near Essex, to the late W.W. and Anna May Dowdy Snider, she was a homemaker and member of the St. Joe General Baptist Church in Idalia.
On Nov. 18, 1934, at Piggott, Ark., she married Dwight Blunt, who preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1995.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, R.R. Snider; three sisters, Ruble Lane, Mildred Mouser and Dorothy Snider; one son-in-law, Ken Mitchell; one infant grandchild; and one infant great-grandchild.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis and Thelma Blunt of Essex and James and Aud Blunt of Bloomfield; two daughters and one son-in-
law, Judy Mitchell and Norma and Robert Williams of Las Vegas; five sisters, Opal Smith of Dexter, Naomi Coffey of Chesterfield, Esther Gisi of Essex, Martha Homan of Marquand and Nina Tippen of Kennett; and nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, four great-stepgrandchildren and three great-great-stepgrandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Dan Sitze will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
