CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Sikeston freshman football team demolished the Cape Central Tigers on Saturday, 55-0 in Cape Girardeau.
Sikeston got on the board in the first quarter on a 39-yard Eli Jackson run. Jackson ran in the two-point conversion.
Later in the first quarter, Juqualin Wiggins had a 21-yard run to make it 14-0.
The Bulldogs (4-2) extended the lead to 22-0 in the first quarter on a 10-
yard run by Dwayne Harris and a two-point conversion run by Jackson.
On the first play of the second quarter, Dario Lewis scored on a 30-yard run. Jackson kicked the extra point.
Later in the quarter, Jarian Wims scored on a 40-yard TD run. Jackson again booted the extra point to lead 36-0.
Lewis scored another touchdown in the second, this time from 50 yards out. Jackson kicked the extra point to make it 43-0 at halftime.
In the fourth quarter, Rico Ivy scored on a 35-yard run. Later in the quarter, Harris returned an interception 25 yards for the touchdown to reach the final margin.
Sikeston's freshman team will host tomorrow at 6 p.m.
