EAST PRAIRIE -- Alfrieda Lee McAfee, 84, died at 4:05 a.m. Feb. 7, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Dec. 14, 1923, in Wolf Island, to the late Lee and Pairlee Coffer Browning, she lived most her life in Mississippi County and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Sikeston.

On March 15, 1941, in East Prairie, she married Frank Gordon McAfee who preceded her in death on June 9, 1995.

One son, James Lee McAfee, and one brother, Verlon Browning, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Arnold "Mac" and Glenda McAfee of East Prairie; one daughter, Loretta Chandler of Kennett; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Pauline Hendrix of East Prairie and Nadine and Harry Showmaker of Charleston; and 11 grandchildren and several great-

grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for 6 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Ted Wimberley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Jim Browning, Eddie Barnhill, Jim Chandler, Robert Chandler, Toby Chandler and John Chandler.
