MARBLE HILL -- Earnest O. Johnson, 96, formerly of Vanduser, died at 6:15 a.m. June 17, 2006, at Elder Care of Marble Hill.
Born March 21, 1910, in Clarksville, Ark., son of the late Arthur and Rachel Earnest Johnson, he was a self-employed farmer and a member of the Vanduser Baptist Church.
On May 16, 1936, in Jackson, he married Della Slinkard who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Susanna Johnson of Henderson, Nev.; one daughter and son-in-law, Jo and Mack McCormick of Glenallen; and four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Two brothers, three sisters and one grandson also preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Glenn Rogers, pastor of Vanduser Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley.
Pallbearers will be: Brad Johnson, Chad Johnson, Adam McCormick, Brandon McCormick, Chad Wiseman and Curt Wiseman.
