SIKESTON - Bradley D. Colbert, 17, died at 4 p.m. Nov. 3, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Sikeston. Born March 20, 1989, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ricky and Mickey Wagoner Colbert of Sikeston, he was an active member of the First Baptist Church at Blodgett and a senior a New Madrid County Central High School where he maintained a 4.0 grade point average, was captain and starting center for the football team, competed in the shot put and discus on the track team and was a 6-year member of the band and a Gold Card member of the Renaissance Club. ...

SIKESTON - Bradley D. Colbert, 17, died at 4 p.m. Nov. 3, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Sikeston.

Born March 20, 1989, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ricky and Mickey Wagoner Colbert of Sikeston, he was an active member of the First Baptist Church at Blodgett and a senior a New Madrid County Central High School where he maintained a 4.0 grade point average, was captain and starting center for the football team, competed in the shot put and discus on the track team and was a 6-year member of the band and a Gold Card member of the Renaissance Club. He also was employed at Food Giant in Sikeston.

In addition to his parents, survivors include: one sister, Madison Colbert of the home; paternal grandparents, James and Melba Colbert of Blodgett; maternal grandparents, James "Cotton" and Jackie Wagoner of Blodgett; and his maternal great-grandmother, Stella Mullin of Sikeston.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Monday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery at Blodgett.
