ST. PETERS - Geneva M. Hobbs, 85, died Oct. 31, 2006, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.
Born April 20, 1921, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Elmer and Ethel Propst, she was a homemaker and member of the Retirees Club Operating Engineers Local 513 in Bridgeton.
She was married to Ray Hobbs who preceded her in death.
One son, Robert B. Barfield, and six brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one daughter, Patricia Blume of Fairfield, Iowa; one daughter-in-law, Joan Barfield of St. Peters; four granddaughters and two grandsons-in-law, Bobbette Bequette of St. Peters, Roxanne Canter of O'Fallon, Melissa and Greg Barfield-Works of Belleville, Ill., and Amy and Jamie Shevlin of Smithton, Ill.; six great-grandchildren, Rachel, C.J., Brittany, Sam, Ben and Claudia; and a beloved aunt, cousin and friend.
Services were held at noon Friday at the Baue Funeral and Memorial Center Chapel in St. Charles.
Burial followed in St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
