A meanness problem

I'd like to speakout about school bullying, people bullying the other children. I have a grandchild that goes over to a sixth grade center. My grandson has been in trouble at school, but he has been taught not to hit back. He was on the bus and this one kid came up and hit him in the side of the head and hurt him. He hit him real hard. He told the bus driver and the bus driver wrote him up and the boy that hit him. I don't understand why they can't do something about school bullying around here. And then they wonder why kids are so mean and everything. I thought there was a law against bullying. I think this may turn into a discrimination case because this isn't fair. If someone hits a child, they should be in trouble, not the one that was hit. What's he supposed to do - sit down and let this kid continue to hit him in the jaw because he's not allowed to hit back or he'll get in big, big trouble? We're getting tired of my grandson getting hit on because he has a meanness problem.

2008 or 2009?

Mike, I was wondering, this is actually a comment, a question to you. I was wondering if the August construction date for Orgill to begin is 2008 or 2009. And is the silage that was removed from the property, is that considered construction or is that farming? And is neon survey signs on the four corners for marking the property, is that considered construction. Or is Orgill another premature expulsion of words to our community by our leaders to pat themselves on the back?

Construction should begin within two weeks.

President for a year

I heard something and was wondering if it was true. I heard Mr. McCain announced that he was going to be elected president, was only going to be in office for a year and then was going to retire and let the vice president take over. Is this true or not?

Not!

Count your blessings

Sometimes I read in SpeakOut where people are running everybody else down, the less fortunate especially. That's not right. That's not what God wants us to do. If you can't say anything good about people, don't say anything. If you can't help them, at least pray for them. I worked all my life and I don't have much. But I always thank God for what I do have. At least I have a roof over my head. My house needs a lot of work done on it, but I thank God I've got that roof over my head. You know, the Bible says in Proverbs 22:2, that God made all of us - the rich and the poor. Stop running the less fortunate person down and pray for them instead. Maybe that will make you feel better. I know there is a lot of people on government help, but maybe they have to be and are not able to work. Some of these people that are crippled and invalids, I guess you run them down too. But they're not able to work. One of these days when Jesus comes back, and He is coming soon and I hope he does, just pray that you'll be ready and quit talking about these people that can't help themselves. Jesus said live for me not the way you want to live. Just think about it and quit talking about people and keep your big traps shut.
