MCGEE -- Mary M. Smith, 87, died Dec. 1, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 7, 1921, at McGee, to the late John M. and Henrietta Fager Gribler, she had lived in the McGee community all her life and was a member of the Wappapello VFW Post 3416.
On Dec. 2, 1939, she married Henry Alvin Smith who preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1985.
Three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Virgil Smith of Doniphan and Richard Smith of McGee; two daughters, Ruby Siemer of Shook and Ruth Carver of Wappapello; one sister, Betty Gribler of Lowndes; and 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled for 5 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Larry Underwood of McGee will officiate.
Burial will follow in the McGee Cemetery.
