SIKESTON -- Power restoration efforts are continuing in the area. Here are the most recent updates from area electric companies:
As of 8 a.m. today, approximately 60 percent of Sikeston Board of Municipalities customers had their electricity restored.
According to a news release from the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, much progress was made in Sikeston on Monday, with power restored to the Murray Lane feeder, bringing power to more areas in the southwestern parts of town. Additionally, power was restored in areas in the southeast portion of Sikeston.
Three more electric crews are set to arrive today to help assist in repairing home services.
