Residents reminded to fill out census

Workers to begin going door-to-door on May 1

SIKESTON -- Every person matters.

That's the message the United States Census Bureau is working to get across right now, as it urges residents to take the 10 or so minutes involved in filling out their forms. Not only do the numbers determine how billions of dollars and political power are allocated, the sooner a household returns their form, the less it costs to conduct the census.
