SIKESTON -- In December 1996, Woody Evans was playing a routine game of golf at Bootheel Golf Club when he hit a double eagle -- a big achievement in the game of golf. Then, he was the oldest male recorded to have accomplished the feat of scoring three under par.

Thirteen years later, he still holds the title -- which is part of what attracted Golf Digest Associate Editor Max Adler to feature Evans in the Golf Digest 2010 "Road Trip," during which the magazine will celebrate its 60 years with 60 stories from coast to coast in 60 days.
