Practice begins

Sikeston coach Kent Gibbs talks to players during Monday's morning practice session. Monday marked the first day Missouri schools could officially practice for the upcoming fall sports seasons. The Sikeston Bulldogs' football team took to the field again on Monday afternoon, the first time they have held two-a-day practices in several years. Sikeston will hold a Red and Black scrimmage on Saturday and will take part in the Hillsboro Jamboree at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 20. Sikeston will then open the season at Obion County, Tenn., on Aug. 27.
