Bulldogs end their season with 5-2 record

CARUTHERSVILLE -- The Sikeston junior varsity football team ended their season with a 19-0 win over the Caruthersville Tigers on Monday night bringing their year to a close with a 5-2 record.

Sikeston quarterback David Foster hit Darien Boyd with a 9-yard touchdown pass to get things going in favor of the Bulldogs with 6:30 left in the first quarter.

Sikeston's second touchdown was scored in the second quarter when Boyd ran into the end zone from 16 yards out, making it 12-0.

Foster completed his second touchdown pass in the fourth quarter when Caleen Crawford caught a 20-yard pass with 1:18 left in regulation. Jermaine Winfield kicked the point after to make it the final of 19-0.

Sikeston's defense helped preserve the shutout with two interceptions. Foster and Spencer Clark each had a pick.
