Following Canalou man's death, his daughter allowed county to probate his estate

NEW MADRID -- Price David Baker was frugal. Everyone in Canalou knew that.

For a number of years, Baker lived in a small camper trailer on a family lot in Canalou. There was no running water to the trailer so Baker carried his water from the town's city hall across the street. He used an outhouse on the lot and warmed the small camper with heat from his oven during the winter.
