FARMINGTON -- The Sikeston wrestling took had their best finish at the SEMO Conference Wrestling Tournament in a number of years, finishing fifth in the 11-team field.

The Bulldogs finished with 179.5 points, aided by second place finishes from Kenton Robinson and Jacob Stinnett. Perennial power Jackson squeezed out a team win, outscoring Farmington 415-410.5. Dexter took eighth with 153.5 points.

Scott-Miss Tournament

BENTON (SMNS) -- Scott County Central and Oran advanced to Monday's championship game of the Scott-Miss Conference Tournament.

The Braves knocked off Chaffee 79-48 behind 24 points from senior Otto Porter. LaMarcus Steward added 13 points and Stewart Johnson 12 in the win.

Michael Rutherford hit four 3-pointers for the Red Devils, but it wasn't enough.

Oran outscored Scott City by two points in the fourth quarter to emerge with a 67-65 win.

Reece Mangels and Jon Morrow both scored 22 points to lead the Eagles.

Oran went 29 of 38 (76 percent) from the free-throw line.

The Rams hit 10 3-pointers, including five by Landon Robert.

The Braves and Eagles will play at 8:30 p.m. Monday, while the Rams and Red Devils will play for third place at 5:30 p.m. Both games will be played at Kelly High School.
