Sikeston freshmen dominate NMCC
Chaffee girls fall at home to St. Vincent
JACKSON -- The Sikeston Bulldogs had no problem in the first round of the Jackson Ninth Grade Tournament on Wednesday, defeating New Madrid County Central 87-24.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 29-7 lead after one quarter and were never challenged the rest of the contest.
Sikeston (12-2) was led in scoring by Jarious Ray, Chris Scott and Steven Baker who all finished with 12 points apiece. Marquese Parks added 11 as 11 players scored in the contest.
NMCC was led in scoring Dre Wilson's 12 points.
The Bulldogs were back in action tonight at 6 p.m. in the tournament when they will take on the Notre Dame Bulldogs.
