Nearly 9,500 Medicaid recipients in county could benefit from the service

SIKESTON -- Scott County Transit is getting back into the Medicaid transport business.

Marilyn Schlosser, executive director for the transit system, said they should get the results of the driver background checks any day now after which they will receive Medical Transportation Management credentials and begin providing non-emergency medical transportation services for Medicaid recipients.
