MINER -- Several were arrested Thursday on warrants for failure to appear in Miner Municipal Court in a warrant roundup.

Warrants were issued through the Miner Municipal Court, and the Miner Police Department was assisted by the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, Scott County Sheriffs Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol in brining in the individuals.

Arrested were: Rodney Starr, 31, of Sikeston; Felicia Howard, 29, of Sikeston; Brittany Poole, 20, of Sikeston; Jaurez Johnson, 20, of Sikeston; Erica Humphrey, 23, of Sikeston; Travis Doles, 22, of Sikeston; and Kimberley Beedle, 22, of Sikeston.

Tina Harris, 22, of Sikeston, paid her back fine to satisfy the court.

Miner Police Chief Chris Griggs noted that all of those arrested were able to post their bonds and were later released.

"I would encourage that everyone that currently has an obligation to the Miner Municipal Court take care of such obligations," he said. "We will be aggressively seeking those who have active warrants."
