SIKESTON -- With Super Bowl Sunday being the second-biggest food consumption day of the year, some may still be wondering what recipe to make for game day.

"Anything with cheese on it the guys are going to eat," said Alvina Mainord, family and consumer sciences teacher at Kelly High School in Benton.

Mainord, who prepared the menu and made the food offered in the hospitality room for coaches and school staff when Kelly hosted the Scott-Mississippi County Conference Tournament last month, said finger foods are a sure bet.

"They like to pick up and go," Mainord said.

Mainord said food made or cut into small pieces and items that aren't going to dry out after sitting out for a while are ideal for a game day spread, especially Super Bowl parties.
