Many candidates are running without any opposition

NEW MADRID -- Some voters will have an array of candidates to choose from when they pick up their ballots on April 5. Others will have only one and in at least one case will have to write in a candidate.

In Canalou, neither candidate is opposed in their bid to serve on the board of aldermen. Candidates are Phillip Wilson in Ward 1 and John Slayton in Ward 2.
