Boyd could be called to serve in 2012

BENTON -- Scott County's prosecuting attorney has received word of a possible deployment.

Paul Boyd, who is also a major in the National Guard's 70th Troop Command of Jefferson Barracks, in addition to serving as the county prosecutor, was recently informed that he may be called to serve overseas.

"I would be going with the 35th Infantry Division," he said. "The deployment would be in the summer of 2012, tentatively. I don't know what month yet. There's no orders in hand; its just something I had to make the county commissioners aware of. It could also not occur."
