SJHS girls split with Kennett
KENNETT -- The Sikeston eighth grade girls basketball team blitzed the Kennett Lady Indians 39-5 on Friday.
Hayli Chapman led the Lady Bulldogs with eight points while Erica Peet added six and Iesha Randle followed with five.
Sikeston jumped out to an 18-0 lead after the first quarter and a 27-2 advantage at the half.

KENNETT -- A late comeback bid fell short for the seventh grade Lady Bulldogs as they fell 26-23 to Kennett.
Kennett led the Lady Bulldogs 21-14 after three quarters. Sikeston managed to outscore the Lady Indians 9-5 in the fourth, but it wasn't enough.
Madeline Witt was Sikeston's leading scorer with seven points. Kiera Steward chipped in four.
