SIKESTON -- Income tax filing season is here, which means it's time for individuals to start gathering their receipts, canceled checks, W-2 forms and other documents needed to file a tax return.

"I've received tons of phone calls and several people have already been in (the office), and it's still early in the season," said Phil Cluck, owner of Fax Tax in Sikeston.

The deadline to file 2011 tax returns, pay any tax due or request an extension is Tuesday, April 17.
