ATLANTA -- Russell Eugene Kennedy, 38, died April 27, 2012, of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Atlanta.
Born June 18, 1973, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., son of Russell Kennedy of Poplar Bluff and the late Martha Kennedy, he was a 1991 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School. He attended Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff and Momuth College in Momuth, Ill. He served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years. He was employed as a coater/finisher of aircrafts at Lockeed-Martin in Atlanta.
In addition to his father, survivors include: one son, Uvonte Kennedy of Atlanta; one daughter, Tiarra Kennedy of Atlanta; two sisters, Rhonda Kennedy and Rosalind Kennedy of Poplar Bluff; and one brother, Rodney Kennedy of Poplar Bluff.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Tommy Robinson officiating with the Rev. Quincy Keeble, pastor.
Burial with full military rites will follow in the City Cemetery.
Driver Funeral Service of Sikeston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
