BENTON -- As a proposed consolidation of county E-911 services with the city of Sikeston will not come to pass in the immediate future, Scott County officials will soon have to consider what upgrades are needed at the county's Communications Center.
Presiding County Commissioner Jamie Burger said during the regular County Commission meeting Tuesday that the Commission will meet with an AT&T representative at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Burger said the meeting is not to begin looking at purchases but is "strictly to answer some questions" county officials have about E-911 dispatching equipment at the Communications Center.
