WHITEWATER -- Helen Ruth Wilson, 80, died July 6, 2012, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
Born May 6, 1932, at Puxico, to the late James Ervin and Anna Frances Westbrook Maples, she lived in Chaffee until 1970 before moving to Whitewater. She was a member of the Puxico Eastern Star Chapter 422 and operated the concession stand at Lake Girardeau for 14 years.
On June 25, 1947, she married David E. "Bert" Wilson, and he survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Larry Cook; one son, Paul Wilson; two sisters, Hazel Short and Connie Spane; a brother, Hermann Maples; and four grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
She was also preceded in death by an infant brother.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Don Kuehle officiating.
Visitation will continue from 1p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Morgan-Sifford Funeral Chapel in Puxico.
Burial will follow in the Puxico City Cemetery.
