Sharlett Eftink
CHAFFEE -- Sharlett Ann Eftink, 56, died Sept. 3, 2012, at the family home in Chaffee.
Born Jan. 28, 1956, in Chaffee, daughter of Doris Jean Klipfel Walter of Oran and the late Philip Aloysius Walter, she was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee; Daughters of St. Ambrose; confirmation instructor; mentoring program; professional development committee; Junior High Leadership Team. She also started the Junior High Reading Program and volunteered for the C.A.L.B. Program.
On Nov. 23, 1974, she married Jerome Eftink, and he survives of the home.
In addition to her mother and husband, survivors include: one son, Josh (Arica) Eftink of Gordonville; two daughters, Tonya (Brad Wessel) Eftink of Chaffee and Jacquelyn Eftink of Portland, Maine; five brothers, Ronnie Walter, Randy Walter, Kim Walter and Scott Walter, all of Oran, and Danny Walter of Chaffee; six sisters, Carla Ray and Cindy Seyer of Oran, Donna Dinges of South Bend, Ind., Gail Dumey of Chaffee, Karen Pobst of Scott City, and Sandy Mahurin of Bloomington, Ind.; and three grandsons.She was preceded in death by her father and stepfather, Harold "Bud" Sietman.
Visitation is after 3 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where parish prayers will be recited at 4 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant and the Rev. Ralph Duffner as co-celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee.
