Multiple football games rescheduled

Thunderstorms washed away any hopes of starting or completing several high school football games Friday night.
Four local games kicked off but failed to see the second half.
Dexter v. Sikeston -- Sikeston got off to a fast start against the visiting Bearcats quickly taking a 21-7 lead in the first quarter until the game was postponed. They will resume Saturday at 3 p.m.
Caruthersville v. Charleston -- The Bluejays and Tigers never took the field as lightening caused an initial delay before the game was postponed until Saturday at 4 p.m.
Kennett v. NMCC -- The New Madrid County Central Eagles went up 7-0 before their game was called. They will resume Saturday at 2 p.m.
Malden v. Portageville -- Portageville scored quickly to go up 7-0 in the first quarter. Play will begin again Saturday at noon.
Hayti v. Chaffee -- Kickoff never happened at Chaffee. They will begin Saturday at 2 p.m.
Scott City v. East Prairie -- Scott City and East Prairie made it the farthest our of all the games but it to was hit by the storms. Scott City leads 21-0 in a game that will resume Saturday at 3 p.m.
Cape Central v. Poplar Bluff -- They tried to wait out the storms, but decided to postpone the game nearly two hours after it's scheduled start time. They will play Saturday at 4 p.m.
Farmington v. Jackson -- This game was called off early Friday afternoon. They rescheduled it for 2 p.m. Saturday.
