Margaret Miller
CHAFFEE -- Margaret Mary Miller, 83, died Sept. 8, 2012, at James River Care Center in Springfield.
Born Aug. 4, 1929, at Pocahontas, Ark., to the late William Joseph and Eva Catherine Baltz Ludwig, she graduated from St. Mary's High School and attended college in Illinois. She was a third grade teacher at St. Ambrose Catholic School and was a cosmetologist at Nickens Pharmacy. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, Daughters of St. Ambrose, PEO Chapter CX in Chaffee, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion.
On April 23, 1949, she married Leon William "Raney" Miller who preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Leon W. "Buddy" and Jean Miller Jr. of Cape Girardeau; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Jane and A.G. "Butch" Paul of Springfield, Mary and Charles "Chuck" Stadtmueller of Spokane, Wash., Eva and Rick Keagle of Harker Heights, Texas, and Sue Ann Kern of Park City, Utah; one brother, Dr. Frank Ludwig of Maumelle, Ark.; one sister, Ann Braden of Danville, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. A PEO service will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Rev. Randolph Tochtrop serving as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery.
