Hoop honors

The 1988 Class 3 state champion New Madrid County Central Eagles basketball team was honored during the Riverbend Classic Friday as part of their "Spotlight Series." Seen here are New Madrid County Central graduates Travis Day (left) and Kelvin Anderson, who helped propel the Eagles to their first state basketball championship for New Madrid County Central. Members of the team were given plaques and a team picture from their 1988 trip to the Show-Me Showdown. It's the 25th anniversary since that accomplishment.
