EAST PRAIRIE -- Bennie S. McTigue, 79, died at 8 a.m. Dec. 20, 2012, in the East Prairie Nursing Center.
Born Jan. 17, 1933, in Charleston, to the late P.C. and Sue Bone McIlroy, she lived all of her life in Mississippi County where she and her husband owned and operated McTigue Construction. She was a member of the First Christian Church in East Prairie.
On Nov. 26, 1949, she married Marshall Fremont McTigue who preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1984.
One son Waymon Marshall "Monty" McTigue also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Don and Rhonda McTigue of East Prairie; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Carol and Bobby Ditto of East Prairie and Michelle Renee and Cullan Duke of Camp Point, Ill.; one daughter-in-law, Carlotta McTigue of East Prairie; three brothers, Mike McIlroy of Charleston, George McIlroy of Granite City, Ill., and Kenneth McIlroy of Glen Carbon, Ill.; five sisters, Donnie Pemberton of Bullhead City, Ariz., Janet Greer of East Prairie, Doris Chappell of Charleston, Carolyn Hooten of Gideon and Barbie Hopgood of Ocala, Fla.; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday with Martin Lucas officiating.
Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Troy McIlroy, Jason Palmer, Marshall McTigue, Terry Greer, Tim Hooten, Chandler McTigue, Bobby Carlyle and Jeremy Silman.
