PARK HILLS -- The Sikeston Lady Bulldogs struggled to generate offense Monday against St. Francois County (Park Hills) Central losing 56-20 on the road.

Sikeston fell behind 18-4 after the first quarter and then by 21 points (29-8) by halftime. They scored just two points in the third quarter.

Mikala Nichols led the Lady Bulldogs, who had just three scorers, with 11 points. Hayli Chapman and Erica Peet added six and three respectively.

Sikeston will play their final game of the season on Thursday against Dexter with junior varsity scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

JACKSON -- The Dexter Lady Bearcats jumped on the Jackson Lady Indians early and came away with a 56-41 victory at Jackson High School Monday.

Brittany Harris led the Lady Bearcats (22-3) with 27 points. Alison Jarrell scored 11 including three 3-pointers.

Dexter, ranked No. 5 in Class 4 in the latest MBCA/MOsports.com girls poll, will play their final game of the season Thursday when they travel to the Sikeston Field House to take on the Lady Bulldogs.

Girls Semifinals

MALDEN -- The New Madrid County Central Lady Eagles advanced to the championship game of the Class 3, District 1 tournament after a mild 82-65 upset over the second seeded Doniphan Donettes Monday at Malden High School.

This will be NMCC's second straight district championship appearance in as many years taking the title just a season ago.

The Charleston Lady Bluejays saw their season come to an end following an 80-67 loss to top-seeded Twin Rivers.

Charleston finishes the year with a 19-7 record.

NMCC and Twin Rivers are scheduled to play for the district championship Thursday at 6 p.m.

Class 2, District 3

Chaffee 48, Meadow Heights 46

BISMARCK -- Ellie Sigman led the Chaffee Lady Devils with a game-high 15 points and 23 rebounds during a 48-46 upset win over the Meadow Heights Lady Panthers Monday in the semifinals round of the Class 2, District 3 tournament at Bismarck High School.

Chaffee, the third seed, improved to 13-11 on the season and is scheduled to play fifth-seeded Bismarck, who upset No. 1 seed Viburnum 47-43, for the district championship at 6 p.m. Thursday. Due to the possibility of inclement weather, however, the game may be moved to Wednesday.

GIDEON --The Risco Tigers sailed through their first round game during the Class 1, District 1 tournament in Gideon Monday defeating Koshkonong 93-39.

Jordon Pavy led the Tigers, the tournament's No. 1 seed, with 22 points. Caleb McCord and Brandon Bixler added 15 and 14 while Cody Young chipped in 10.

Koshkonong's Tyler Wiggs scored a game-high 27 points, mostly on seven 3-pointers.

Risco will take on fourth seeded North Pemiscot tonight at 6 p.m. in the semifinals round.

Clarkton, the No. 2 seed, will play Naylor, who defeated Gideon 53-50 on a half-court, buzzer beater from Dawson Goodrum, at 7:30 p.m.
